Our location has been the host to the native Timucuan Indians, both British and Spanish settlers, and Oswald's Ferry Crossing Plantation. For over 150 years, old King's Road ran from St. Mary's, Georgia to New Smyrna Beach, Florida and crossed the Tomoka River at this location. Early residents of the Ormond area would gather here to meet travelers at this Tomoka River ferry crossing, which became known as Buckhead Bluff. In more recent years, our bluff location has been a fish camp, a motel, and home for great fishing and enchanting natural beauty. The creation of River Grille and its expansive decks is designed to bring the feel of the bluff and its river vistas into a pleasant, casual atmosphere.
So enjoy our scenic location, have a great dining experience, and we hope to make this your favorite place to be. |
